Join Our Food Drive at CSU on Nov 13th

With the holiday season right around the corner, Colorado State Athletics and Republic Services have partnered to host an on-campus food drive during tailgating for the Air Force football game on Nov. 13.

All donations will directly benefit the Food Bank for Larimer County, as well as the CSU Mobile Food Pantry. The food drive comes amid widespread supply shortages that have driven up prices on some food products this holiday season. With regional food insecurity already on the rise, every donation is helpful in ensuring that Larimer County residents do not have to worry about whether or how they’re going to have meals together as colder weather approaches.

“We are extremely appreciative of CSU’s enthusiastic participation in the fight against hunger this year,” Amy Pezzani, CEO of the Food Bank for Larimer County, said. “We know that some CSU students are experiencing food insecurity themselves. It’s inspiring to see that Rams not only work to take care of their own, but also extend their support to their neighbors in Larimer County.”

Ram fans are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items at one of the five Republic Services carts throughout the parking and tailgating areas.

“We are proud to have the opportunity to partner with CSU and the Food Bank of Larimer County. Supporting this Rams for Hunger event is a positive way to bring attention to the food scarcity in our community and give back to families in need. At this event, we will engage our employees, customers, and community to come together to be a part of the solution. Go Rams!” – Tom Maxwell, General Manager, Republic Services Northern Colorado
