Waste and Recycling Services to Continue Amid COVID-19


YOUR PICK-UP AND EQUIPMENT SERVICING IS NOT IMPACTED AT THIS TIME:
You can count on GSI to continue offering clean and reliable sanitation services. We are continuing to operate all normally scheduled trash, recycling and portable restroom routes in the safest of manners. Routes may run slightly slower during the course of the next couple of weeks; however, GSI is committed to servicing our customers as long as dumpsites continue to remain open.

Our office is still available to answer questions at 970-484-5556 and at CustService@GSIwaste.com during regular office hours Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Please note: There may be delays via the phone system due to staffing and the testing of new remote devices.

YOUR TRASH MUST BE BAGGED
All of your trash needs to be bagged, tied and placed in your cart. This is an important safety measure for our community and our drivers.

All loose debris, near or around your carts, will not be picked up if it is not securely placed in a plastic bag and tied shut.

If you need to purchase teal bags for your extras, you may do so by calling our office at (970) 484-5556 or email CustService@GSIwaste.com. The rate is $3.25/bag (comes in bundles of 5) and the cost of trash service is included. It is a more economical option than placing waste in a standard trash bag at the curb, which amounts to a $3.75/bag charge for the haul-a-way service.

DO NOT BAG YOUR RECYCLABLES; MAKE SURE THEY ARE CLEAN, EMPTY & LOOSE IN YOUR RECYCLE CART

EQUIPPING OUR DRIVERS AND EMPLOYEES
Providing Northern Colorado with clean and safe sanitation services is our priority. We are taking proactive measures to ensure your waste and recycling is the last thing you need to worry about.

—-The vast majority of our routes are serviced using automated trucks.

—GSI’s drivers wear gloves while on route.

—We employ a team of safety personnel with over 40 years’ of combined experience in the risk management sector.

—We have a devoted committee dedicated to monitoring the latest updates with COVID-19. This responsive committee is instrumental in determining GSI’s policies, procedures and safe practices.

—-Many of our internal staff are working remotely, as part of the social distancing recommendations. Additional social distancing recommendations are being followed.

—In-person meetings, gatherings, travel and community outreach events have been temporarily suspended.

—Internal janitorial efforts continue to remain strong and adhere to best practices for maintaining a sanitary work environment.
